The Quantum Leap Strategy

This is where it’s all going to start. I found a book in the desk at my work. It’s called the “The Quantum Leap Strategy” and I’m going to give it a good ole American effort. That’s assuming that Americans aren’t lazy but actually follow through. Your experience with may vary with Americans but anyways, we are getting off topic. I will be revealing the secret to this book over the course of my journey so you will want to check back to this blog regularly. The idea behind the book is that a “quantum leap” is a massive shift in your reality with little added effort than the amount of effort you’re currently giving. The difference is what you’re putting that effort into. It’s taking the right action to double ‘yourself.’ The way the books writes it is ‘you².’

I don’t have a method of tracking my progress yet but I will develop a way to see if I am getting anywhere. I do think an experiment like this is a bit more subjective in the sense that personal growth is really only qualitative from the person going through the growth and can’t be compared. So I’m not sure how I will be able to actually track my growth but we will work on that. The goal is to move closer to the life I see as ideal for myself. I use this broadly because an ideal life changes with a person as they grow through life. Things you used to value in one moment might not be valued in another. Currently I value learning, financial freedom, family time, time freedom and exploring life’s abundant experiences. These are all very broad as well, which is okay but in order for the “Quantum Leap Strategy” to work I will need to focus on one item.

If I am to narrow down my first endeavor I have to take into consideration my current circumstances. I don’t have access to an unlimited amount of funds and my time each day is very limited while I raise my two year old and balance my relationship with my wife and pets. Life can get very busy. However, I want this to succeed and am determined to see it through to the end. I will also be documenting it on socials so I have to keep in mind the time it will take to create quality posts. As agreed by my wife and I our first goal is to aggressively pay down debt. That means that most of our money is tied up in paying of credit, meaning little money is left over. This first quantum leap will have to be low impact on our finances. It’ll also need to be something I can fit into a busy schedule. Since I work with my hands most days I’m thinking it’ll be something that is a bit more mentally challenging. I also want to consider the benefits itll play in my life. My eating habits are subpar as well as my physical habits or working out. Or lack of working out.

With all that in mind. I want to fully commit to one thing to jump start my quantum leap. I think I will need to re-read the book first before I decide where I want to take my life but so you don’t feel cheated out of your time. I truly value that you’ve read this far. I’m going to do two things. First I’m going to give you a link to the book where you can purchase it, and second this is what I have been doing with my life to improve it so far.

  1. The book link (here)

  2. I have been teaching myself Spanish five minutes every day fort the last three and half months, improving my eating habits, and working of taking control of my finances.

Next post will be about what I am going to focus the quantum leap on. The direction I want to take my life.
